His presentation entitled, "County Sherriff Says Evacuate, Now What?” will be presented to the Virginia Assisted Living Association's conference attendees who work in the Senior Living and Post-Acute Care industry.

Lang will ask attendees, “When disaster strikes, will you be ready?” During his presentation, he will help attendees discover the differences between Emergency Management and Business Continuity Management and explore issues in Emergency Management expectations that can pose very real problems in continuity of care and continuity of business.  Lang also plans to discuss what plans are necessary to continue to do business and maintain continuity of care and explain why dependence on technology is a double edged sword that you can wield effectively with some planning and avoid having to scramble for support in a disaster.

The Virginia Assisted Living Association's Annual Fall Conference will be held in Charlottesville, VA at the Doubletree Hotel from October 19-20, 2009.
