Although the company currently resides downtown, it decided to move operations to a building that effectively communicates its standing as a premier technology provider. The location in Schlitz Park is being newly designed, built and decorated to reflect that image.
Schlitz Park also provides amenities that appeal to employees - free auto and bike parking, free fitness center, indoor walking path, nearby dining options, and bike and car sharing programs.
“We’re one of Milwaukee’s largest IT companies and we want to attract and retain the area’s best technology talent. Being located at Schlitz Park adds tremendous value to our company identity and employee brand,” explained VCPI CEO Dan Weise. “Bublr bike share, car sharing, electric vehicle charging – these are just a few of the amenities here that speak to the concerns and desires of today’s millennial employees and are extremely advantageous for us to have.”
VCPI has a total of 175 employees and serves more than 2,400 senior living and post-acute care providers nationwide. The company plans to grow to more than 200 employees in the next few years as it expands its service desk personnel, with most of that growth at Schlitz Park. Weise believes the Schlitz Park location will appeal to employees and clients alike.
“Several of our prospective clients visit the Milwaukee area and we provide them a tour of our data center (located on Milwaukee’s west side). Now when they visit our new headquarters at Schlitz Park, it will demonstrate our commitment to retaining and attracting the best talent in the area,” said Weise. “This area is booming, especially with the new entertainment district the Milwaukee Bucks are developing, and we can’t wait to be a part of it.”
“VCPI is a great fit for Schlitz Park. It’s a successful, growing company looking to add young talent that wants to live and play close to where they work,” said Schlitz Park developer Gary Grunau. “Looking ahead, Schlitz Park is seeing great interest and excitement as we continue to develop new spaces to meet the demand for employers who want to locate in an increasingly vibrant downtown area.”
VCPI plans to occupy the new space by July 1, 2016.
